How do you define the feminine?

So...If you have been watching television at all these days you may have seen the documentary about a young man who is undergoing procedures to turn his body into that of a woman - to match the outside of his body with what is on the inside.... What makes a woman a woman? Her body? Her soul? Her mind? Her DNA?
How do you think you would relate to someone who used to be another gender?
And also what do you think about about Thomas, the pregnant man....who was born in a beautiful female body, but with an admittedly male brain......But now she is a he - breasts removed, supplemented with testoterone.....yet still wants to bear children.....
What's your opinion on all these?
